Burnley boss Sean Dyche will make a late decision on defender Ben Mee ahead of the televised npower Championship clash with Cardiff on Saturday.

Mee, who has endured a succession of fitness problems this season, limped out of Tuesday night's 1-0 loss at Leeds during first-half stoppage time with a hamstring problem.

Danny Lafferty came on for the former Manchester City youth team captain and is favourite to get the nod to deputise at left-back in the event of his absence, ahead of Joseph Mills.

Dyche must draw his attack from Sam Vokes, Martin Paterson and Danny Ings against Malky Mackay's title chasers, with top scorer Charlie Austin out for the season after having his appendix removed.

Junior Stanislas is pushing for a return to the starting line-up after Fulham wideman Alex Kacaniklic was recalled from his loan spell by the London club.

Malky Mackay has no fresh injury worries as his promotion-winning heroes look to seal the Championship title at Turf Moor.

The former Watford boss, who saw his side secure Premier League football next season with a 0-0 draw against Charlton, is determined that his side keep their focus despite the midweek celebrations.

Tommy Smith and Peter Whittingham are pushing for recalls while the likes of Joe Mason and Craig Conway could also come into contention should the Scot decide to freshen things up.

Captain Mark Hudson (ankle) is out for the rest of the campaign while this game looks to have come too soon for Matt Connolly (groin) and Heidar Helguson (calf).

Fraizer Campbell is still on the mend from a shin and knee injury fellow forward Nicky Maynard is back in training and could be pushing for an appearance in City's final two games before they set their sights on the top flight.
