York City midfielder Lee Bullock has joined Blue Square Bet Premier Division side Gateshead on a one-month loan deal.

The 31-year-old has made six appearances for the Minstermen this season, but has found it difficult to hold down a regular place in Gary Mills' starting line-up.

Bullock, who will go straight into the Tynesiders' squad for their league game at Kidderminster this weekend, joined York following his release from Bradford in the summer.

He began his career as a trainee at Bootham Crescent back in 1998 and after making more than 150 appearances moved on to Cardiff and then Hartlepool before signing for the Bantams in 2008.
