Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is set to regain his place in the Italy team for the friendly against Germany on Feb. 9.
Buffon has not played an international since injuring his back in Italy's opening 2010 World Cup match, but has played three club matches since returning.
Also back in the squad will be Antonio Cassano, who missed the friendly with Romania in November as he was suspended by Sampdoria.
He has since joined AC Milan in December.

Prandelli told reporters Thursday that ''both Buffon and Cassano will be there against Germany. Buffon has recovered and is doing well. I have always considered him my No. 1 and now he is available.''
He added that ''Antonio seems to be doing well and so he will also be there in Germany.''
