Ten-man St Mirren held on for a point against Dundee United in a highly-entertaining 1-1 draw at Tannadice.
Steven Thompson netted his first competitive goal for the Buddies after 11 minutes with a neat finish from close range to give them a half-time lead over his former club.
However the visitors were reduced to 10 men in first-half injury time when Nigel Hasselbaink was dismissed for catching United defender Paul Dixon with his arm.
Jon Daly equalised after 67 minutes, turning home a Scott Allan cross, but despite their second half dominance the Terrors were unable to find a winner.
The point takes United top of the fledgling SPL table, with St Mirren second.
In Saturday's other game, Dunfermline and Inverness shared the spoils at East End Park with a thrilling 3-3 draw.
Andy Kirk had given Dunfermline a deserved first-half lead when he ran onto Andy Barrowman's flick-on to finish low beyond Paul Gallacher.
Greg Tansey equalised with a deflected strike only a minute into the second half but six minutes later Kirk had the home side back in front.
Terry Butcher's side responded again and were level when Jonny Hayes took advantage of a Gallacher fumble to equalise after 76 minutes and they took the lead when Tansey scored his second with a header at the back post.
There was one final sting in the tail when Martin Hardie curled a wonderful free-kick beyond Ryan Esson in the final minute.
