The 22-year-old Belgian will finish the season as the Black Cats' number one following Craig Gordon's knee operation this week and he will be hoping to make amends for two mistakes that cost his side dear at Birmingham last weekend. Bruce fully expects Mignolet, who has made 18 Premier League appearances this season, to bounce back in style. He said: "The kid's done fantastically well since Craig broke his arm in the summer. Simon I've got no problems with at all. He made a mistake last week but in training this week he's back to his best again. "He's young but he's got the ability not to let what happened last week affect him. That's what goalkeepers are all about. They are going to make mistakes, even the great ones, it's about how you respond and making sure you don't make any more."
