Portuguese defender Jose Bosingwa needs another knee operation and will miss the rest of Chelsea's season and the World Cup.
Bosingwa had surgery in November after his left knee was injured while playing against Aston Villa in the Premier League.
He recently resumed light training, but Chelsea announced Friday that he requires surgery again.
