Bordeaux chairman Jean-Louis Triaud has warned Arsenal and Manchester City he has no plans to let Alou Diarra or Yoann Gourcuff leave the club.
Diarra continues to be strongly linked with a move to Ligue 1 rivals Marseille, while Gourcuff is said to be interesting teams in England.
Bordeaux are understandably reluctant to let the star duo leave and have made it clear that they will not back down without a fight.
Triaud accepts that he faces a battle to retain the services of midfield enforcer Diarra, but he insists there is no chance of him joining another French side.
"Alou has told me that he won't join Marseille and he will stay at Bordeaux," he told L'Equipe. "He will stay here unless a foreign team of his dreams shows some interest."
Triaud is also confident that France international playmaker Gourcuff will be staying put.
Arsenal, Manchester City and Lyon have all been linked with the talented 24-year-old, but he is not for sale.
"There is no question that he will stay," added Triaud. "We have no fear there as our objective has always been to keep our best players."
