The Italian national football team has been in touch with the Interior Ministry ahead of its European Championship qualifier in Northern Ireland on Friday in the wake of a dissident Irish Republican Army car bomb blast.
Italy coach Cesare Prandelli says his team ''is aware of what happened but we're staying calm, although we were a little calmer yesterday.''
The bomb damaged a hotel, bank and other businesses but caused no injuries Tuesday in the Northern Ireland city of Londonderry, the sixth such attack this year in the British territory.
Friday's match is scheduled to be held Belfast.
