Daniel Sturridge scored twice to help Bolton earn a 3-0 victory over struggling West Ham on Saturday in the Premier League.

The striker, who is on loan from Chelsea, took his tally to six goals in eight games to leave West Ham mired in the relegation zone.

Sturridge gave his team the lead in the 14th minute with a superb strike after he was played in by Johan Elmander. Lee Chung-yong then doubled the lead six minutes later by heading home a cross from Martin Petrov and Sturridge added the third in the 51st by steering a shot beyond goalkeeper Robert Green.

West Ham remained in 18th place on 32 points, one point clear of safety.
