Bologna twice came from behind to snatch a 2-2 draw at home to Chievo in Serie A on Sunday afternoon.

Marco Andreolli put the visitors in front midway through the first half, but Marco Di Vaio levelled in the 59th minute.

Cyril Thereau restored Chievo's lead, but again they could not hold out and Alessandro Diamanti made it 2-2 nine minutes from time.

The away side were the first to threaten, Boukary Drame's long-range shot flying over and Alberto Paloschi's header from the edge of the six-yard box falling wide.

They went in front in the 26th minute when Andreolli stabbed the ball into the corner following Sergio Pellissier's free-kick.

Chievo continued to dominate and a Drame header brought a save out of Jean Francois Gillet, while Pellissier blazed over.

Bologna made a double substitution at the break, Archimede Morleo and Panagiotis Kone, coming on, and the changes seemed to do the trick.

Gaston Ramirez had a shot saved by Chievo goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino and Diamanti fired wide from outside the area.

Di Vaio levelled when he slotted home following a Diego Perez free-kick.

Paloschi almost restored Chievo's lead straightaway with a low angled shot which was saved by Gillet, but Thereau did put them back in front in the 68th minute.

The midfielder got on the end of a Pellissier cross and sent his shot into the bottom corner.

But the hosts would not lie down and Sorrentino saved Kone's header and then Diamanti's long-range effort.

And Diamanti earned a point for Bologna in the 81st minute with another low shot from outside the area which found the bottom left corner.
