Bojinov left out from Bulgaria squad
Parma striker Valeri Bojinov has been left out of the Bulgaria squad for their upcoming European Championship qualifier against Wales.
New coach Lothar Matthaeus announced his first 24-man squad Friday for the qualifier at Cardiff on Oct. 8 and for the friendly against Saudi Arabia in Istanbul four days later.
Matthaeus picked some newcomers from the domestic league in an effort to overhaul the team that lost to England and Montenegro in the first two qualifiers.
England and Montenegro top Group G with six points. Bulgaria is last with zero points.
