Boateng set for Blatter talks

Kevin-Prince Boateng will meet with FIFA president Sepp Blatter to discuss the best ways to fight racism in football.

AC Milan midfielder and Ghana international Boateng created headlines in January when he walked off the pitch in protest after several players were racially abused during Milan's friendly at Italian fourth-tier side Pro Patria, with the match subsequently being abandoned.

Former Tottenham and Portsmouth player Boateng, 26, then criticised FIFA for not doing more to tackle the issue.

Blatter responded to Boateng's protest by saying players should not walk off the pitch, but that administrators should use harsh sanctions to deal with racism.

Blatter has now invited Boateng to exchange views on the issue, and the pair will meet at FIFA's headquarters in Zurich this Friday lunchtime, the world governing body said.
