New British Prime Minister David Cameron has telephoned FIFA president Sepp Blatter to back England's bid to host the World Cup.
Blatter said Friday that Cameron, who took office this week, ``expressed his determination to be behind this bid.''
England is one of nine candidates to host either 2018 or 2022. All presented their technical bid books to FIFA on Friday.
Blatter dropped several hints that he expected England to focus on the 2018 tournament which will likely be awarded to a European bid.
