Blackpool is facing a Premier League investigation after manager Ian Holloway made 10 changes to his team for the match against Aston Villa.

Holloway fielded a side made up of fringe players for a 3-2 league loss Wednesday. Villa center back James Collins scored a last-minute winner.

Blackpool is in the middle of a busy schedule with four games in 14 days, and Holloway chose to rest his key players ahead of Saturday's match at last-place West Ham.

The Premier League handed Wolverhampton Wanderers a suspended fine of 25,000 pounds last season when it made 10 changes to its team for a game against Manchester United.

Holloway says he will resign if a similar punishment is given to Blackpool.
