Blackburn says the sale of the club to Indian-based conglomerate Venkys could be completed next month.
The Premier League club says it has held a series of meetings with the group, which specializes in poultry farming and pharmaceuticals.
A Blackburn statement says ''both parties are hopeful that the transaction will be completed in November.''
Venkys would be the first Indian company to purchase a club in England's top division.

Venkys chairperson Anuradha J. Desai says the company is delighted to be negotiating with Blackburn Rovers ''with whom we believe we have many shared values and ambitions.''
