Birmingham v Everton preview
Craig Gardner, Birmingham's leading scorer, starts a three-match ban after his straight red card against Wigan last weekend so Alex McLeish could switch Lee Bowyer from the left flank his preferred central midfield position alongside Barry Ferguson. Keith Fahey will be in contention for a recall after not starting a league game since the opening day of the campaign at Sunderland. Everton full-back Tony Hibbert is back in contention for the game after shaking off a groin strain that saw him miss the draw at Fulham last week. Louis Saha (calf), Jack Rodwell (ankle) and Victor Anichebe (knee) remain on the sidelines, however, and David Moyes has also reported "one or two doubts" over other unnamed players. Tim Cahill has been troubled by a knee injury in recent weeks and was substituted after 62 minutes at Fulham.
