Birmingham has signed Nigeria striker Obafemi Martins on a six-month loan from Rubin Kazan.
The 26-year-old Martins only spent half a season with the Ukrainian club after joining from Wolfsburg.
He previously scored 39 goals in 105 appearances in English football for Newcastle.
Martins is Newcastle's third January signing after David Bentley and Curtis Davies.
