Birmingham chasing McCourt
Sky Sports understands Birmingham City are one of several sides chasing former Celtic winger Paddy McCourt.
McCourt is available on a free transfer after seeing out his contract at Celtic Park.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon was keen to keep hold of McCourt, but the Northern Ireland international has decided to move on in search of regular first-team football.
News of McCourt's availability has alerted a host of clubs across Europe and America, with several MLS sides big admirers of the skilful winger.
McCourt's agent and brother, Leroy McCourt, has admitted Birmingham have expressed an interest in the 29-year-old and that the player is weighing up his options.
"Birmingham have expressed an interest in Paddy and he has spoken to Lee Clark," McCourt told Sky Sports.
"There has also been interest from other Championship clubs as well as sides from Turkey, Australia and America.
"Paddy is weighing up his options and we hope to make a decision soon on his future."
