Big Sam hopeful Hoilett will sign
Hoilett, who has made 15 appearances in the Premier League this season, is out of contract in the summer and has yet to agree a new deal. Rovers boss Allardyce is frustrated that the 19-year-old striker has not accepted the club's 'outstanding' offer and fears the Canadian is having his head turned by the prospect of lucrative deals elsewhere. Allardyce said: "Hoilett has been here a while and knows the whole set-up, but agents are involved and we can't get him to where we want him and that is frustrating. "If it is about money it shouldn't be at this early stage in life. If he is a success the money will follow. "He will make himself a multi-millionaire really quickly if he plays well. "We feel we have made him an outstanding offer. We just hope he will sign." Meanwhile, Allardyce believes January signing Yildiray Basturk will become a key player for Blackburn once he is ready for first-team duty. "Basturk is our ace up the sleeve," added Allardyce. "I'm looking forward to him being ready and if he can produce what he once could we will have a very clever player on our hands, and maybe the key to us scoring more goals."
