Real Betis beat Deportivo La Coruna in an entertaining clash to go fourth while Espanyol could only draw with Granada in Javier Aguierre's first game in charge.

Joel Campbell scored a wonder goal 14 minutes from time to seal a 3-2 victory over Deportivo La Coruna and lift Real Betis clear in fourth place.

An entertaining encounter at La Riazor boasted two fine finishes either side of half-time from Ruben Castro to put the visitors in control.

However, Riki pulled one back then levelled with a tidy volley on the hour mark to set up a dramatic finale.

It was Betis that found the winner as Campbell curled a stunning shot into the top corner from 25 yards.

The clash between Granada and Espanyol at Nuevo Los Carmenes ended in goalless draw to leave both sides still in the bottom three.

Granada saw the best of the possession but it was Espanyol who had the most chances on what was new coach Javier Aguirre's first game in charge.

A superb save by Granada goalkeeper Tono denied Christian Stuani on the stroke of half-time, while Raul Baena fired over the crossbar in front of an open goal in the second half.

Levante snatched a point in a 1-1 draw with Celta Vigo thanks to Roger's 89th-minute equaliser at Estadio de Balaidos.

The hosts were dominant for much of the clash and went ahead when Enrique De Lucas got the benefit of a marginal offside call to score in the first half.

Levante salvaged a share of the spoils late on when Roger popped up to turn the ball home from close range after fellow substitute Michel had volleyed across the face of goal.

Real Mallorca earned a point against 10-man Real Zaragoza as Victor Casadesus netted an 86th-minute equaliser to seal a 1-1 draw and make up for his first-half penalty miss.

Glenn Loovens saw red after picking up a second booking in the 13th minute for hauling down Emilio Nsue, but Victor saw his effort saved by Zaragoza keeper Roberto Jimenez.

The visitors then opened a surprise lead three minutes later as Helder Postiga fired home but Victor levelled the scores late on with a powerful header to rescue a point.
