Berbatov undergoing Fulham medical
Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov is undergoing a medical with Fulham as he looks set to seal his move away from Old Trafford.
Cottagers boss Martin Jol confirmed the Bulgarian striker, who he worked with during his time in charge of Spurs, was on course to join the London club.
Berbatov has become surplus to requirements for the Red Devils despite finishing as the joint top-scorer in the Premier League in 2010/11, with his appearances limited last term.
And the summer signing of Robin van Persie to join the striking ranks alongside Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez made the 31-year-old's departure almost inevitable.
Fiorentina looked to be leading the race for his services amid rival interest from Juventus, only for Berbatov to have a late change of heart, much to the fury of the Serie A side.
Jol is keen to increase his attacking options and has money to spend following the £15million sale of Belgium international Moussa Dembele to Tottenham earlier this week.
