Bentley chuffed with victory
Bristol City striker Albert Adomah admitted Lee Grant's 80th-minute penalty save from Steven Davies was crucial as the Robins crashed to a 3-1 defeat at Burnley.
The visitors, who had taken a 35th-minute lead through Adomah, were trailing only 2-1 at the time.
Adomah, speaking in the absence of Sean O'Driscoll at the post-match press conference, said: "I scored a goal and won a penalty for the team and if that had gone in the result could have been different and we might have come away with a point.
"We always back Steven to put them away but it just didn't happen for him because the keeper made a great save.
"If we had won then we could have kept up with the teams above us but it is not over yet and we have to stay positive because we still have five games to keep ourselves in this division.
"Everyone is trying to gee each other up and that encouragement is important because when we are down we don't want to be knocked again.
"We can still survive but we have been fighting ever since I came here and I try and do my best whenever I get onto the pitch.
"You can't dwell on things you just have to move on and hopefully we can do that as a team."
Bentley saw former Miller Kevin Ellison score a dramatic 90th minute winner to give his side their first victory in seven games, much to his delight.
He said: "It was an unbelievable finish to the game with Kevin Ellison doing what so many players do against their former clubs and scoring a great goal.
"It meant a lot to us because we haven't won for a few games and I wanted to make sure we moved further away from the bottom clubs because it was all getting a bit tight down there.
"On Monday we lost to Wycombe in what was the worst display I have seen as manager and I wanted a response. I got that and I'm delighted for the lads because they are a good, honest bunch who always give their all and this is a reward for those efforts."
Ellison's goal came after the visitors had been reduced to 10 men when skipper Johnny Mullins was sent off with 19 minutes remaining for fouling Wright as he looked set to run on goal.
It proved a big decision as Rotherham had come from behind when Alex Revell deflected a Lionel Ainsworth shot past Barry Roche just after the hour.
Morecambe had started the second half in style when left back Robbie Threlfall scored his first goal for the club with a superb free kick.
