Bendtner keen to seize chance
The Danish forward has had limited opportunities this term due to injury but has also found his path back to the team blocked by the good form of others. Marouane Chamakh has settled in well following his summer move to the Emirates Stadium, while Robin van Persie is now back in contention as well following his own spell on the sidelines. Bendtner accepts that competition for places is fierce but hopes to grasp any opportunity that may come along. He is keen to play his part and feels confident the Gunners can claim their first piece of silverware since 2005. "I want to get back to 100 per cent, get back into the squad and take my chances when I get them to prove I should be there," Bendtner told the club's official website. "At the end of the season we can see where I am, see where the team is and how well we have done. "I hope we will win something this season. We have a great chance in the Carling Cup which I hope we will take full advantage of. "The FA Cup is coming up and we are still in the Champions League. I think it looks positive."
