The Rotterdammers are currently fourth from bottom in the Eredivisie having won just two of their opening nine games. Been's current contract expires in 18 months but he is hoping club directors can see past their ongoing problems and take a long-term view that he can transform their fortunes. He told Voetbal International: "I have not heard yet from the club. "But I would like to make it clear that I want to stay longer here. "I want to get this club out of trouble and I will succeed, I am absolutely convinced of that." Been joined Feyenoord after a successful spell at NEC Nijmegen, where he led the team into the UEFA Cup and he remains confident he can turn around his latest club in similar fashion. ""At NEC I had the feeling that even when things were going badly I would succeed," he added. "We saw what we were capable of at the weekend against FC Twente but didn't get the rewards. "But everyone can see there is potential here at Feyenoord."
