Bayern Munich says Netherlands winger Arjen Robben may be able to return from injury as early as this weekend, just two weeks after he had surgery on his right knee.

However, Bayern said Thursday that France international Franck Ribery is still out with tendinitis in his left knee.

Coach Louis Van Gaal said Robben, who injured his knee in a Sept. 30 Champions League match against Juventus, will likely be back in the Bayern squad for this Saturday's league match against Freiburg.

Robben was originally expected to be out for three to four weeks.

Bayern said Ribery's knee problem was proving persistent and painful, and that "the injury keeps coming back."
