Bayern's Lahm out for week with hamstring strain
Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm has been ruled out for at least a week due to a right hamstring strain.
The Bundesliga side says on its website that Lahm sustained the injury while playing in icy conditions during the 3-1 win at CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Wednesday. He was substituted in the 30th minute.
The extent of the injury was determined Thursday in Munich. Lahm will miss Saturday's Bundesliga game against Eintracht Braunschweig and Wednesday's German Cup game at Augsburg while undergoing treatment before a decision is taken on his return.
Already on Bayern's injury list were Bastian Schweinsteiger (ankle surgery), Franck Ribery (cracked rib), Mario Mandzukic (calf), Claudio Pizarro and Xherdan Shaqiri (both hamstring), as well as Holger Badstuber (cruciate ligament).
