Bayern Munich to host Hannover in German Cup
Defending champion Bayern Munich was drawn Saturday to host Bundesliga rival Hannover in the second round of the German Cup, while Borussia Dortmund will travel to second-division 1860 Munich.
Schalke, the 2011 winner, will play at third-division Darmstadt, which knocked out Borussia Moenchengladbach on penalties in the first round.
Hamburger SV hosts second-division Greuther Fuerth, Bayer Leverkusen visits third-division Arminia Bielefeld, and Freiburg hosts Stuttgart in a repeat of last season's semifinal.
Wolfsburg, Eintracht Frankfurt, Hoffenheim and Mainz have home advantage against second-division sides Aalen, Bochum, Energie Cottbus and Cologne, respectively.
Hertha Berlin will play at second-division Kaiserslautern, Augsburg visits third-division Preussen Muenster, and FSV Frankfurt hosts Ingolstadt in a second-division clash.
Fourth-tier Wiedenbrueck, the lowest ranked remaining side, hosts second-division SV Sandhausen.
Third-division Saarbruecken's reward for knocking Werder Bremen out is a home game against second-division Paderborn, and third-tier Osnabrueck hosts second-division Union Berlin.
The games will be played on Sept. 24-25.
