Defender Dante and midfielder Luis Gustavo reported for Brazil training on Friday after being released by Bayern Munich for the upcoming Confederations Cup.

Bayern wanted the players available for the German Cup final against Stuttgart on Saturday, but the Brazilian football federation wanted them back for the national team's friendly against England at the Maracana on Sunday. It had made a complaint to FIFA to make sure the players were released by Saturday, the date required by FIFA ahead of international competitions.

The Brazilian football federation had said that the players could be ruled ineligible to play for Bayern on Saturday if they didn't report to Brazil by the deadline established by FIFA.

The federation will allow Neymar to fly to Spain on Sunday night - after the England game - to be officially introduced to Barcelona fans and the Spanish media. He must return no later than Tuesday to continue his preparations with the national team.

Brazil reported to its training base in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday, when it began preparing for the World Cup warm-up tournament it will host from June 15-30.

Other players who reported on Friday were defender Rever and striker Bernard, who played with Atletico Mineiro in the Copa Libertadores on Thursday. Goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri, defender Jean and striker Fred, who were with Fluminense in a Copa Libertadores match on Wednesday, arrived on Thursday.

Friday was the first time that coach Luiz Felipe Scolari put together the team that is expected to start on Sunday at the Maracana - Julio Cesar, Daniel Alves, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Marcelo, Paulinho, Fernando, Oscar, Lucas, Neymar and Fred.

England arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday, when a court order by a Brazilian judge suspended the friendly saying that the newly renovated Maracana was not safe for fans. The decision made headlines across the globe but it was later reversed after the Rio de Janeiro state government appealed. The government said that the safety assurances had not been submitted to authorities because of a ''bureaucratic mistake.''

Brazil lost 2-1 to England earlier this year in Scolari's first match since his return to the national team in December and the 2002 World Cup winners have won only one of the other four matches after that, against Bolivia.

Brazil's hasn't won a significant title since the 2009 Confederations Cup.

The five-time world champions will also play a friendly against France on June 9 in the southern city of Porto Alegre. It will debut in the Confederations Cup against Japan on June 15 in Brasilia.
