Bassong reports racism
Police are investigating an alleged racist gesture made at Sebastien Bassong during Norwich City's win over Swansea City.
The Cameroon centre-back reported the incident to match referee Howard Webb during Saturday's dramatic game at the Liberty Stadium
And Norwich boss Chris Hughton now believes police are involved after authorities at Swansea identified the individual accused of discriminating against Bassong.
"I can only tell you what I have been made aware of, which is that there was a gesture made to Sebastien Bassong," Hughton told Sky Sports in his post-match interview.
"Credit to Swansea City football club, I think they have identified the individual and that is now in the hands of the right authorities."
Norwich in November reported to police alleged racial discrimination against Bassong made on Twitter.
Hughton's team won 4-3 at Swansea, where Bassong scored his third goal in four games for his club.
