The Cameroon international defender has started only six games in the Premier League this term and has been linked with a move to Schalke. He acknowledged he is frustrated at being on the fringes at White Hart Lane and is uncertain why he has not featured more often. However, with Spurs having reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League, Bassong is determined to fight for his place rather than hammer on Harry Redknapp's door. "It's frustrating because I feel I have done well," said Bassong in The People. "But I also think it is something I can learn from when I come through it. "I can't moan because what matters most is that we do well and we are doing very well. "I want my time here to be even better."
