Baros returns to Czech squad to face Spain
Galatasaray striker Milan Baros will return to the Czech Republic's squad for this month's 2012 European Championship qualifiers against Spain and Liechtenstein.
Baros had a muscle problem after he last played for the national team on Sept. 7 in a 1-0 loss to Lithuania in a qualifier. With 38 goals from 79 international games, his presence is crucial for the Czech attack.
''(Baros) is absolutely fit,'' Czech Republic coach Michal Bilek said Tuesday. ''That's very good news for us. He will play from the start.''
Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech will be playing his 80th international game in Granada on March 25, while Lazio forward Libor Kozak and backup goalkeeper Lukas Vaclik of second division Czech club Zizkov have joined the team for the first time.
''It will be extremely difficult to get points (at Spain) but we have to give it a try,'' Bilek said.
Four days later, the squad faces Liechtenstein in Ceske Budejovice.
Spain leads Group I with nine points from three matches, followed by the Czechs six points. Scotland and Lithuania have three each while Liechtenstein has zero.
