Barcelona took a big loss to unload defender Dmytro Chygrynskiy back to former club Shakhtar Donetsk in a ?15 million ($19 million) transfer on Tuesday.
Chygrynskiy returns to the Ukrainian club less than a year after joining the Spanish champions in a ?25 million (then $35.8 million) deal.
The 23-year-old Chygrynskiy played only 14 games in his one season at Barcelona. The Ukraine international was part of the Catalan club's successful Spanish league defense and its first ever Club World Cup win.
Chygrynskiy helped Shakhtar to the UEFA Cup - now the Europa League - title before joining Barcelona on a five-year deal.
