Barcelona has rejected the Spanish football federation's bid to hold the Spanish Super Cup in China from 2013.
Barcelona says it is against the idea for ''social and sporting reasons,'' with Real Madrid also reportedly dismissing an idea supported by a majority of the 20-team league.
Barcelona spokesman Toni Freixa says the club's preparations for the season would be affected by an August trip to Beijing.
The federation had agreed to a ?40 million ($50 million) fee to hold the annual match between league and Copa del Rey winners in Asia.
