Bantams await McLaughlin verdict

Bradford boss Phil Parkinson admits it is too early to determine the full extent of the injury picked up by Jon McLaughlin.

The Bantams goalkeeper was forced off in the latter stages of the match after appearing to damage his hip making a save from former City loanee Kevin Ellison.

But Parkinson insisted he is more than happy to recall Matt Duke between the sticks for Saturday's match at Oxford should McLaughlin be ruled out.

"Jon's damaged his side - we're not too sure how bad that is at this stage. We'll obviously have to get him checked out with Matt (Barras, physio)," he told the club's official website.

"Dukey's come on and done fine though, we'd have no problems if he were to be involved on Saturday.

"I must actually give a special mention to Dukey. He started the season really well but I just took the decision to bring Jon in at Accrington. He took that decision like a man. He has trained like a demon in training every day."
