Australia will host its first home match of the fourth round of 2014 World Cup qualifying against Japan in Brisbane on June 12.

The Socceroos open the yearlong, eight-match last full round of regional qualifying at Oman on June 8. Other Group B countries are Iraq and Jordan. The top two teams in each qualifying group will progress to Brazil.

After a period of 32 years between trips to the finals, Australia has qualified for the last two World Cups.

At Germany 2006, the Socceroos advanced to the second round before being eliminated by eventual champion Italy. The Socceroos were eliminated in the first round in South Africa in 2010.
