Atletico ace pictured at Madrid shop
An Atletico Madrid prospect is learning how severe inter-city football rivalries can be after being photographed inside Real Madrid's gift shop.
Oliver Torres was forced to defend a photo of him taken at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium store, writing on Twitter ''I needed football boots in an emergency, don't doubt the Atletico (fan) that I am.''
The 17-year-old Torres made his topflight debut in Atletico's 1-1 draw against Levante on Sunday and has found himself under focus as a potential replacement for midfielder Diego Ribas, who returned to Wolfsburg after helping Atletico win the Europa League last season. Chelsea is among European teams reportedly interested in Torres.
Atletico coach Diego Simeone says this experience will help Torres ''grow and understand his surroundings ... and be more careful.''
