Malaga goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo will miss the rest of the season because of a knee injury.
Asenjo turned awkwardly on his right leg in Sunday's 0-0 draw against Sevilla in the Spanish league before crumbling to the ground.
Malaga said Monday that the Spaniard, who left the field in tears, will be out for up to eight months. Asenjo has previously had an operation on the same knee.
The 21-year-old Asenjo joined last-place Malaga from Atletico
Madrid in the January transfer window, making five appearances.
