Arsene Wenger says he may still be Arsenal manager in 5 years

Arsene Wenger will celebrate 20 years at Arsenal on Saturday and while he makes no promises on his future at the Emirates, he's also not ruling anything out. When asked whether he would still be at the club for a 25th year, he said it was a possibility.

"I rule nothing out because I want to work. And I want to do well," Wenger told reporters.

"But I accept as well that it can finish tomorrow. It's a love story and a love story you expect always to last forever. But it can stop any day."

Wenger's contract expires at the end of this season and there has been talk of this being his last season with the Gunners. It's been 12 years since Arsenal won the league and they have only won two trophies in the last decade. With the rest of the Premier League seemingly getting better by hiring terrific managers, like Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, Antonio Conte at Chelsea and Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, the pressure is on Wenger and Arsenal to keep pace with an ever-improving top of the Premier League.

This is hardly the first time that Wenger has been under fire, though. The last several years have been tumultuous and Wenger has been steady through it all, trusting the club and his system. He's not going to stop that now and while 20 years is a long time at one club, once you get there, what is five more? If Arsenal will still have him in 2021, there's no reason to think Wenger won't still be there.
