Arsenal, Southampton tempts Diego
Wolfsburg playmaker Diego claims to be attracting interest from Arsenal and Southampton, and would welcome a move to either club.
The Brazil international will become a free agent next summer, with his contract in Germany running down.
His career stalled following a switch to Juventus in 2009, but the 28-year-old enjoyed a return to form last season and has looked bright again this term.
There will be no shortage of interest in the former Porto and Werder Bremen midfielder when he becomes available, and Diego admits he could be tempted to take on a Premier League challenge.
He told The Sun: "I know there is interest from Premier League clubs. I have heard Arsenal is one of them.
"It would be the ideal destination for me because their style suits my characteristics perfectly. Of course I would say yes to Arsenal.
"Southampton have great organisation and discipline and big talents like Adam Lallana. But again there is nothing concrete.
"Playing in England is a very attractive option at the peak of my career but I'm focusing on helping Wolfsburg get to the Champions League."
