Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey admits he and his team-mates have no idea how the Robin van Persie situation will pan out.

The Holland international this week issued a carefully-worded statement on his official website revealing he would not be penning an extension to his current deal with the Gunners, which expires next summer.

It is yet to be seen whether Arsenal decide to cash in on Van Persie, although manager Arsene Wenger recently declared the club must retain their talisman "at all costs".

Ramsey was coy when asked about Van Persie's future and revealed he and his team-mates do not know what the outcome will be.

"There is no need for me to get involved in that," he said.

"I don't know and we as players don't know what is happening so we will just have to wait to see what happens."

Reports suggest Van Persie could be set for a move to Manchester City, meaning an extra burden could fall on the shoulders of summer signings Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud - players Ramsey has backed to succeed.

"They are great additions to the squad," the midfielder said, speaking at Team GB's Preparation Camp in Loughborough.

"Hopefully they can do their bit for the team and hopefully we can have a big season."
