Sebastian Fernandez scored the winner as Banfield returned to the summit of the Argentine Apertura tournament with a 1-0 win at San Lorenzo on Sunday.

Estudiantes kept up the chase at the top with a 3-0 home win over defending champion Velez Sarsfield, while Boca Juniors drew 0-0 with fourth-place Colon de Santa Fe.
