Anderlecht forward Matias Suarez has won the 2011 Golden Boot award for the most valuable player in the Belgian league.
The Argentine forward on Wednesday edged Belgian Axel Witsel, who moved from Standard Liege to Benfica over the summer, and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who left for Atletico Madrid after winning the league with Racing Genk.
Suarez has made a name for himself with his spectacular goals and deft control of the ball under pressure.
