Appalachian State says men's soccer coach Shaun Pendleton has died.

School officials said Wednesday that Pendleton's body was found Tuesday in his home in Boone. He was 49.

Watauga County Sheriff Len Hagaman says it is being classified as an unattended death and that foul play is not suspected.

Athletic director Charlie Cobb says the ''entire Appalachian family is stunned and saddened'' by Pendleton's death.

Appalachian State has not decided yet whether it will compete in this weekend's Davidson adidas Classic in Davidson.
