Ancelotti: Players will move on
Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed players will leave Chelsea this summer, but says the team's success this season will not influence his decision.
Several members of the Blues' squad are out of contract at the end of the campaign and Ancelotti has already voiced his belief that Joe Cole will sign a new deal.
However, the futures of the likes of Michael Ballack, Paulo Ferreira and Juliano Belletti are less certain as Chelsea chase the Premier League and FA Cup double.
Ancelotti is keen to give youngsters such as Gael Kakuta and Nemanja Matic greater prominence next season, but is in no rush to make a decision on his squad.
"We are involved in very important competitions and we will take the decision after that," said Ancelotti.
"We have time because the season will finish May 15, and we will start in July, so we have May and June to take decisions about players without contracts. It does not depend on winning the league.
"The only sure thing is that next year there will be five players from the Academy in the squad because they deserve to be.
"Some players maybe will move, because we want to give strength to our Academy, we have very good young players and it is the time to put them in the squad for next year, they are able to stay in the Chelsea squad.
" When asked whether the Chelsea fans want to see a big-money arrival at Stamford Bridge in the summer, Ancelotti replied: "I think the fans will be happy if the team wins the title and the FA Cup.
"After that they will see some new players in the future. The most important thing is they don't need to see a new coach!"
