American Castillo scores 1st goal for San Luis

American defender Edgar Castillo scored his first goal for San Luis in a 2-1 loss to Puebla in the Mexican Apertura season.

Castillo, a 23-year-old born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, scored in the 64th minute Sunday, nine minutes after entering the game. He played previously for Santos Laguna, Club America and Tigres.

Castillo played four games for Mexico's national team from 2007-09 before switching allegiance to the United States, and he made his American national team debut at Denmark last November. Castillo was not picked for the U.S. World Cup roster.
