Allegri urges focus from Milan

Massimiliano Allegri is taking nothing for granted going into the weekend as AC Milan seek to retain their six-point lead in Serie A.

Allegri, whose side are on course to clinch their first scudetto since 2004, has demanded full focus from his players ahead of Saturday's match at relegation-threatened Brescia.

The Rossoneri have won their last three league games and go into the encounter on the back of a 2-2 draw against Palermo in their Coppa Italia first-leg semi-final.

"We must remain awake because there are five games remaining and if we are not careful, we could also lose," Allegri said.

"Brescia are fighting to avoid the drop and this is a delicate game for us."

The Rossoneri will be without their top scorers, Alexandre Pato is out injured and Zlatan Ibrahimovic is suspended.

Second-place Napoli travel to Sicily to take on Palermo looking to bounce back from last weekend's 2-1 defeat to Udinese that hindered their title challenge.

Walter Mazzarri's men will now focus on strengthening their second position in the standings as they are two points clear of third-placed Inter Milan.

The encounter at the Renzo Barbera stadium will mark the return of Napoli star Edinson Cavani to Palermo for the first time since leaving the club last summer.

Inter are at the San Siro in Milan to square off against fourth-placed Lazio, who hold the last Champions League qualifying spot.

The Nerazzurri have lost two of their last three league games and are three points clear of Lazio.

A Lazio defeat would see Udinese climb to the top four provided the Friuli outfit beats Parma.

Udinese trail one point behind Lazio.

Roma hope to avoid their fourth consecutive defeat at home when they host Chievo.

The Giallorossi lost to Juventus and Palermo in the league before falling 1-0 to Inter Milan in midweek in the Coppa Italia.

Juventus, who are eight points behind Lazio, will take on Catania in Turin.

Mid-table Fiorentina will be looking for only their third win on the road this season at Cagliari.

Bologna will attempt to end a three-game losing streak when they face Cesena.

Cesena are two points clear of 18th-place Sampdoria and hold the last position of safety.

Lecce, three points above the drop zone after claiming seven points from their last three games, take on Genoa at the Luigi Ferraris stadium.

Meanwhile, if Bari fail to win against fellow strugglers Sampdoria, the Galletti will be relegated.

They are 13 points from safety with 15 points up for grabs.
