Four of the eight Serbian fans arrested for violence during a European Championship qualifier have made a plea bargain whereby they will be released from jail but banned from Italy for five years.

The ANSA news agency says the four other fans, including alleged ringleader Ivan Bogdanov, face a trial next month.

UEFA awarded Italy a 3-0 win over Serbia after the match in October was stopped in the seventh minute with the score at 0-0 after Serbia supporters threw flares and fireworks onto the field, burned an Albanian flag and broke barriers, then clashed with police outside the stadium.

UEFA also ordered Serbia to play its home match against Northern Ireland on March 25 in an empty stadium.
