Zivo, Farhaan win Big A stakes

NEW YORK (AP) Zivo and Farhaan won the $100,000 stakes at Aqueduct on Saturday.
Zivo edged Sinistra by a head in the Kings Point for New York breds. Able Castellano was aboard for trainer Chad Brown as the 5-year-old ran the 1 1-16 miles in 1:46.66 over the track rated good. He paid $5.50 to win.
Farhaan gave jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr. his fourth win on the card in the Stymie. Farhaan beat Percussion by a neck at the end of fierce stretch battle, surviving a claim of foul lodged by Chris DeCarlo, rider of the runner-up.
Farhaan, trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, paid $8.20 to win. The 5-year-old covered the 1 1-8 miles in 1:53.52.
