Bill Zadick will take over as men's freestyle coach for the U.S. national team after the Rio Olympics in August.
USA Wrestling announced Wednesday that Zadick, a former Iowa Hawkeye who won a world championship in 2006, will succeed Bruce Burnett following the Olympics.
Burnett, the national team coach from 1992-2000, was rehired in 2014 after Zeke Jones left to become the coach at Arizona State.
Zadick, currently an assistant coach under Burnett, will become the fifth full-time national team coach. He says his goal will be to make the U.S. ''the best wrestling nation in the world.''
