Auburn, Ala. -- Through four days of fall camp the Auburn Tigers have been fortunate as the weather has cooperated and the injuries have been minimal heading into the first day of two-a-days on Tuesday. Only wide receiver DeAngelo Benton has been knocked out of practice time because of a hand injury, giving several incoming freshmen a better chance to make some noise early in camp.
One of those is speedy Antonio Goodwin from Atlanta. While Trovon Reed has gotten a lot of the early buzz with fellow freshman Shaun Kitchens getting some love from the coaching staff, Goodwin may be the biggest deep threat option for the Tigers if he can make the adjustment to college football in a timely manner.
Having the ability to learn from a large group of veteran players including Darvin Adams should prove to be a big boost for not just Goodwin but the entire freshman group. Having one of the best seasons in school history for a wide receiver last year, Adams and the veterans have made it a point to show guys the ropes about life in the SEC and playing football at Auburn.
